PINJARRA KINDERGARTEN’S early childhood programs reflect the elements of the Early Learning Years Framework; Belonging, Being and Becoming.
Staff working at Pinjarra Kindergarten embrace the holistic approach to teaching and learning, fostering a supportive learning environment where children will feel secure to develop social and emotional confidence, feeling respected and valued.
Practices, values and beliefs of families and the diversity of each child’s cultural background is acknowledged and respected in Pinjarra Kindergarten’s programs. We welcome and encourage local community involvement and reflect valuable contributions from our community in our learning environment.
We acknowledge that children need to be active participants, to make sense of their world. In order to engage children actively, staff identify strengths and interests, choose the appropriate teaching strategies, and design the learning environment to maximise their learning.
Pinjarra Kindergarten’s early childhood programs are play-based, fostering social interactions, improvisation, creativity, curiosity, discovery, and concept building aimed at expanding children’s thinking. Collaborative learning opportunities to problem solve, share information, learn from each other, and make decisions in the process of working together.
Our programs aim to foster children’s understanding and respect for the natural environment and the interdependence between people, plants, animals and the land.
